Skating through
Yesterday, I went Christmas shopping with my wife. Carols played worship songs from hidden speakers; one could almost imagine angelic choirs praising Jesus. Some genius installed an ice skating rink and a half dozen preteen girls squealed with delight while their mothers tried to corral a photo. (An ice skating rink in balmy Texas December is nothing if not miraculous.) Everyone was in a good mood (well, except the guy whose parking place I almost stole—sorry). The Salvation Army bell ringer minded his bucket. The cookie lady passed out samples. Every shop was busy. Christmas really is a special time.
God has provided for us. We have peace on our streets and money in our accounts. We have more than we need because He is so gracious. Thank you, Father, you have made our days joyful.
